Description
Keel SE is the latest incarnation of Linn’s Keel subchassis – a key part of the Klimax LP12.
The original Keel broke new ground in 2006. Machined from a single billet of aluminium it elevated the performance of the LP12 to heights never heard before.
Keel SE takes advantage of Finite Element Analysis (FEA), a technology that was not available when its predecessor was developed. This has enabled Linn’s engineers to evaluate the limitations of the original design and avoid them using a combination of virtual prototyping and enhanced in-house machining capabilities.
As a result. Keel SE is a visibly improved product with superior rigidity, optimised resonant behaviour, and perfect distribution of mass.
Key features:
• 300% stiffer than the original, improving dissipation of vibrations and reducing tracking distortion
• Better-balanced centre of mass improves acoustic isolation properties of LP12 suspension system
• Flawless black anodised finish with laser etching
