PMC are a company that have their roots firmly in the professional loudspeaker market, founded in 1991 by Peter Thomas of the BBC and Adrian Loader of FWO Bauch. The combination of knowledge and a life-long passion for music led to the production of PMC’s first product, the BB5-A, an active main studio monitor, whose design forms the basis of todays SE series. This design was snapped up by the BBC Maida Vale and Metropolis Mastering and remains the world’s reference, used by Prince, Stevie Wonder’s Wonderland Studio, Hospital HDTV Broadcast London and for renowned classical labels such as Decca and Harmonia Mundi. Many of today’s movie themes have been crafted using PMC, from such eminent composers as Henry Jackman, Thomas Newman, Tyler Bates and John Debney.

PMC are one of the very few companies who have been awarded an Emmy® for their contribution to recording excellence. With film, it would be easier to list the blockbuster movies which did not use PMC during the process of music production and post! But titles include: Titanic, Mission Impossible, Captain Phillips, Pearl Harbor, Game of Thrones – TV, Iron Man 1& 2, Skyfall, Spiderman 1,2,3 and Pirates of the Caribbean and many many more.

“We believe a good loudspeaker should be able to relay the purest intentions of the artist without colouration – The ideal solution for both studio & home.”

Using this experience PMC have gone on to develop loudspeakers for the home audio market. Their current range goes from the DB1 Gold in celebration of 25 yrs of the professional monitor, through the popular Twenty5 series shown here, the Fact series including the fabulous Fenestre, the SE series their 3 way high end reference monitors and the Wafer range of on wall speakers.

PMC’s first stand-alone domestic amplifier is a superbly musical performer, WHAT HIFI AWARDS 2018

"If you’re looking for a top-class integrated amplifier, the Cor deserves a place near the top of your list. Highly recommended."

The cor integrated amplifier has been designed and is hand built in the UK. Its design philosophy matches that of PMC’s loudspeaker designs in that it should add no sonic character of its own to the music, musicality, transparency and neutrality, where nothing is added and nothing is taken away. The role of the amplifier, like the company’s speakers, is to reproduce the music exactly as it is meant to be heard.

Every element of the cor has been developed with purity of sound at the top of the criteria list. The four unbalanced RCA analogue inputs are joined by one pair of balanced XLR inputs and a set of direct inputs that connect straight to the power amplifier. The cor integrated does not feature any digital inputs and is unashamedly an analogue amplifier for the purist.

The volume control together with the tone and balance faders are motorised using the finest technology from professional mixing consoles, enabling adjustment from the remote. This provides flexibility to achieve the perfect sound on every track, without moving from your armchair.

Hear all the magic of music, with the cor integrated amplifier.
